Bridging the Digital Divide

Technology has the power to transform lives—but only if people have access to it.

For many women in underserved communities, the digital world is a distant reality. Basic digital skills—the kind most people take for granted—are often out of reach due to lack of resources, education, and economic barriers. At WTech Africa, we saw this gap and asked ourselves: How do we bring tech to the people who need it the most? That’s how Tech in Slum was born.

Project Overviews

This initiative was designed to empower underprivileged women in marginalized communities, giving them the tools, skills, and confidence to step into the digital economy.

For many of the women who participated, this was their first introduction to technology. They walked in uncertain and hesitant but left empowered, knowledgeable, and ready to embrace digital tools.
